Description of Services: Employment program provides supports to individuals who are experiencing barriers to employment

Mental Health Supports for Job Seekers Experiencing Employment Barriers:

  • Six-week skills building – pre-employment workshops, update certificates and learn soft skills employers want
  • 12-week work experience – to try new job experiences, learn and demonstrate new capabilities, assisted by a job coach 
  • Follow-up – ongoing support for advocacy, accommodations and employment transition

Employer Supports :

  • 12 weeks of wage subsidy
  • Pre-screened applicants
  • Mental health job coaching – job coaches assist with student and entry-level applicants skills development 
  • Free workshops – offered to all employees including soft skills training  
  • Follow-up – up-to-date employer regulations and staffing retention supports

Meetings can be arranged with program participants and employers off-site if needed
