Description of Services: Information, referrals and support on child and family health topics such as:
  • having a healthy pregnancy and birth
  • connecting with baby
  • how children grow and develop as well how to support growth and development
  • being a parent
  • breastfeeding, food, and healthy nutrition
  • taking care of themselves and their family
  • other services available in the community
 
Breastfeeding Support Breastfeeding support and assistance from a Public Heath Nurse * phone support, office visit, or home visit available
 
Healthy Babies Healthy Children Home visits and information for expectant and new parents who may want extra support * voluntary participation
 
Know and Grow Line Public health nurse available in person or by phone to discuss and provide resources
 
Prenatal Classes Free online prenatal classes for residents of Oxford, Elgin and St Thomas * information on breastfeeding, physical and emotional changes during pregnancy and after birth, parenting and baby care, labour and birth
