Description of Services: Breast screening for early detection of breast cancer in women aged 40-74

Screening includes mammography (x-rays of breast tissue) and screening results

Women who are found to have abnormal results are referred for additional tests with appointments sent to both patient and the patient's care provider

Women who are found to have normal results receive a letter and screening report and a notice when they are eligible for next screening test

OBSP screening mammography is not appropriate for patients who have implants, previous breast cancer, or a new set of breast concerns such as lump, discharge * contact physician or patient care provider to book a diagnostic mammogram

Eligibility - Population(s) Served: Women 40-74 years, and women 30-69 years identified as being at high risk for breast cancer
Application: Call for appointment * no referral required for women between 40 and 74 years * medical referrals also accepted for women between 30 and 69 years
